Fools, Money, and Ethics (Part I)

Uri Geller is back in the limelight again, in spite of having been completely discredited more than once. Even though he himself doesn't actually believe in the supernatural, apparently he has no problem convincing other people to believe if that presents an opportunity to separate some of the fools from their money. He's been doing this for decades... and just when you think his jig should be up, a big media conglomerate (NBC) steps in and breathes new life back into his scam, just so the people who own the conglomerate can make money off of the scam, too.

Here's one way to distinguish an ethical human from one that isn't: when given a choice between parting fools from their money or instead educating them to no longer be fools, which choice does he make?

About

Me: I'm a bright but hobbled "Scanner" with Asperger's Syndrome and ADD traits, fascinated by everything, a critical thinker, armchair ethicist and psychologist and anthropologist, agnostic, atheist, socialist, anti-capitalist, communalist, freethinker, and skeptic.

This Blog: This blog is a stream of consciousness for me, an accumulation of what I have learned and discovered, and what I have yet to learn and discover. I hope that readers of this blog will hear my thoughts almost at the moment I'm thinking them. Hopefully they're worth the hearing.
