Let's get beyond the political correctness of these terms, shall we? There are those in this world who would like to use that correctness and the conformity it breeds to squelch debate. They will tell you it's all about getting along, that any form of dischord is wrong. They're lying. There's a bigger picture they don't want you to see. Keep in mind I'm talking about intellectual diversity and tolerance here, not skin color nor the part of the globe in which your momma squirted you out nor whatever cultural rituals you prefer.

A friend recently wrote about evidence that Mother Teresa suffered from a lifelong crisis of faith, one which the Church went to considerable lengths to keep hidden:

There were a number of comments to her blog, including one by me "rubbing my hands together" at the thought that non-Believers could finally slay one of Christianity's "sacred cows", as I put it. I wasn't very clear at the time what cow I meant, and it was misinterpreted by some people as being critical of Mother Teresa or a belief in God in general. It was neither. Allow me to explain, for the benefit of better future discourse.
